Bikini Bottom

So I was relaxing watching SpongeBob earlier when it suddenly hit me.... I was like "Wait one minute.... what's this?!" It took me by surprise, because SpongeBob is one of my favorite cartoon shows and yet I had never thought of it like this before. A wild turn of events.....

SpongeBob lives in "Bikini Bottom". Now when I think of "Bikini Bottom" I think of a woman's lower half of her bikini. I really don't know of anything else this could be in reference too. As bikinis are ocean related and would make total since here.

However, do you envision a crab living in Bikini Bottoms? That's right, the show features "Mr Krabs", a greedy crab, who lives within Bikini Bottom with SpongeBob. Personally, when I picture crabs with bikini bottoms, it's time to move on and get out of there :P

Then you have Sandy, the fun lovable beaver, who also lives in Bikini Bottom. Is this some sort of twisted adult humor hidden within the show that only if you think about it really hard and stretch your imagination you would ever discover? I mean, when these creatures are living in bikini bottoms you would normally think something is wrong with that woman :P

Am I the only one who has even thought of this? Am I some sort of weirdo? Or did the creators of SpongeBob (which "Bob" is another adult reference) have a hidden agenda and a twisted thought pattern? Many cartoons now adays feature hidden (or rather obscure) adult humor as to keep the show enticing for the adult viewers while the younger viewers have no clue what's going on....
